Q: Can you tell us about L’Empreinte and its concept?
A: Of course, with pleasure. And you are very welcome here at L’Empreinte, which we launched in 2009. It came from the observation that the footwear market was not evolving quickly enough toward sustainability.
There were some emerging players, small businesses and independent manufacturers in Italy, Spain, and other parts of Europe, who were introducing a new way of making shoes. Their approach was more sustainable, more ecological, using a lot of recycled materials and seeking a type of originality that was missing elsewhere.
That is what led us to launch the concept in 2009. We were probably among the first in Europe to do so.
Q: Why did you choose TreeTote as your new retail bag?
A: TreeTote was a choice made out of conviction. It allows us to further affirm the values and the message that L’Empreinte has embodied since the beginning.
It is a bag that fully aligns with reduced water consumption, greater traceability, and European production, which is at the heart of the L’Empreinte initiative.
