1. What is the vision behind the Fashion For Forests campaign, and what inspired its creation?
Fashion For Forests was born from the belief that fashion has the power to do more than express — it can regenerate. The project was co-created by Txai Suruí and Catarina Bellino, with a mission to unite fashion and reforestation in a tangible way. Inspired by the legacy of cause-driven fashion campaigns, we saw an opportunity to use style as a platform to raise awareness and fund environmental impact — starting with the Amazon.
2. How do you use fashion as a tool for forest preservation and environmental awareness?
We use fashion as a statement and a solution. Through our “Tree-Shirts,” each piece contributes directly to reforestation initiatives with our partners Kaninde and Paiter Surui in the Amazon, turning clothing into action. Fashion opens doors and once people are listening, we bring in the message of environmental responsibility and Indigenous wisdom.
3. What does the Amazon mean to your campaign, both culturally and ecologically?
The Amazon is not just a forest it’s a living symbol of balance, resilience, and urgency. Culturally, it represents ancestral knowledge and Indigenous leadership, which we center in our campaign through our partnership with Txai Suruí and Kanindé. Ecologically, it is the heart of our planet’s climate system. Protecting it is not optional, it’s essential.
4. Why did you choose to collaborate with TreeTote®️ for this initiative?
We immediately saw alignment in values. TreeTote®️ stands for innovation, traceability, and minimal environmental impact. The commitment to rethinking materials and making sustainability both functional and beautiful reflects the same vision we have for the future of fashion.

All of them. But if we had to choose one, the traceability stood out. In a world where transparency is everything, being able to show the journey of the product reinforces the credibility of our movement. Saving water and using renewable fibers are equally critical but the ability to prove it sets TreeTote®️ apart.
On top of that, we deeply value the belief TreeTote®️ placed in a project born in Brazil supporting us with a true, sustainable innovation and trusting in its power to resonate with the Brazilian public. That kind of international partnership doesn’t just support a cause it makes a global statement, helping amplify the message and inspire even more people around the world to rethink how we consume, create, and care for the planet.

Absolutely. The bags are elegant yet rooted in purpose just like our campaign. They don’t shout, and rather speak with intention. That’s exactly the energy of Fashion For Forests: sophisticated, conscious, and future focused.

7. How do collaborations like this one help amplify your message and expand your impact?
They transform our campaign into a community. Every collaborator adds reach, creativity, and depth. TreeTote®️ gave us a powerful visual and tactile tool to carry our message forward.
8. What was the response from your audience, media, or supporters to the use of TreeTote®️ in this campaign?
Everyone loved it. The audience was curious, impressed, and inspired. Media asked about the bags as much as the shirts. People felt proud to carry them because it wasn’t just a bag, it was a message. The TreeTote®️ sparked conversations, and that’s exactly what we hoped for.
9. What message would you like to send to other fashion and cultural projects about choosing sustainable materials like TreeTote®️?
