Tree to fibre

BioApply works with Lenzing, the leader of the wood fibre industry, for the production of the TENCEL lyocell fibre. Lenzing share our passion for sustainability and develop all of their industrial processes to prioritise minimal environmental impact.

We work exclusively with Lenzing’s European site in Austria.

They run on almost entirely renewable energy and have their own in-house water treatment.

They source the wood from certified sustainable forests and turn the wood chips into fibre using a closed loop process.

Fibre to fabric

Our partner in Germany is an expert in fabric manufacturing, from the Tencel yarn to the finished product.

We have worked alongside them to find the most sustainable production line for our fabric.

We don’t add any extra mechanical or chemical steps to the line after weaving, which is rare in textile production, so as to save on energy and water.

We choose to work with the fabric in its natural white colour.

Dying, and the processes that come with it, have an enormous impact, especially due to water use for the dying itself and the washing steps that follow.

Therefore, our fabric is of upmost quality and used in its raw form to make our bags.

Fabric to TreeTote

We spent time looking for the best sewing partners possible for the final steps of our creation process. Combining quality, proximity and, of course, sustainability, we are proud to offer our clients a choice for their production.

Our European supply chain, with the sewing of the bags in Poland, offers a sustainable and socially responsable product at the most accessible price.

For our Origine France Garantie certified bags, the sewing takes place at our Parisian workshop.

Our local sewing room cooperative is just over the other side of Geneva Lake, in the French Alps. We work together on prototyping and produce our top of the end TreeTote Made in the Alps range.
